Mr. Slattery’s experience includes counseling owners and executives of closely held businesses and other high net worth individuals on their personal financial issues including estate planning, wealth transfer, and income tax planning techniques. Mr. Slattery is a member of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Slattery is the past Treasurer of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the Montessori Association of South Texas, The Carver Academy, and the Corpus Christi Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Slattery has also served on the Board of Directors of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research Planned Giving Advisory Council, the University of Texas at San Antonio College of Business Advisory Council, the University of Texas at San Antonio Planned Giving Council and the University of Texas at San Antonio Department of Accounting Advisory Board.
Mr. Slattery is a Certified Public Accountant and has received the Personal Financial Specialist designation from the AICPA. Mr. Slattery received his B.B.A. degree with Highest Honors from the University of Texas at Austin and his Masters of Professional Accounting-Tax degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Michael has been in the public accounting field since 2000. Prior to joining the firm, Michael worked in the tax consulting group at Ernst & Young LLP. His primary areas of focus include counseling owners and executives of closely held businesses and other high net worth individuals on their personal financial issues including estate planning, wealth transfer, and income tax planning techniques. He also plays the role of a virtual CFO for many of his clients.
Michael received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master in Professional Accounting-Tax degrees from the University of Texas at Austin Red McCombs School of Business. Michael was the recipient of the Federation of Schools of Accountancy Award in recognition of superior academic achievement, leadership, and professionalism in post-baccalaureate accounting education. Michael received the “Top Ten Award” from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy for scoring one of the ten highest cumulative scores in the State of Texas on the CPA exam.
Michael is active in supporting the San Antonio community. He’s a member of the Texas and San Antonio Societies of Certified Public Accountants. He has served on committees for the Witte Museum and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society events. Michael is a current member of the UTSA College of Business Accounting Advisory Board and the UTSA Planned Giving Council.
